How to Tell if an Online Dater is Interested
Don’t you hate it when you send a prospective date a message and they don’t bother to respond? How frustrating, not to mention a waste of you time. It’s the new equivalent of sitting by the phone waiting for it to ring. This can be a problem with some online dating sites. How do you know if they actually received your message?
In fact, that’s what I want to talk about. Even though online dating is so much safer and secure these days, some sites just don’t get it. The two most common complaints are either the service is poor or you pay for a membership to an online dating site that has 23 members but you thought they had 23,000. Well, that used to be the case. Now, service levels on online dating sites are becoming sophisticated.
Here’s what I mean. When you make contact or attempt to make contact with someone through an online dating site you expect a reply. If you don’t get one, you might think that that person didn’t like your profile, picture or maybe it was that certificate you obtained in advanced cannibalism. Joking! On the other hand, maybe that person didn’t get it yet or is no longer a member. There are many reasons. My point is – don’t get upset, it can happen.
More importantly, when you do get a reply, you’d like to think that it was real and written specifically for you…right? Some aren’t! That’s right. There are some lazy members who have many accounts with many online dating sites who think they are clever by cut and pasting their responses and posting them on all of their profiles on many sites. Fortunately, these responses are not hard to pick. So you really don’t want these lazy members for a date or for that matter…anything!
On the other hand, you may get a reply which is pleasant and there are a couple of points made in their reply that take your interest. Reply to them and make it known that you have an interest in those areas too. You should ask questions on those topics. Get the conversation started. Stimulate the communication and peel back the layers to see what in fact you’ve got hold of. It might just be the right partner.

Do Free Dating Sites Pay? – Singles Dating and Chat Tips
Free online dating and chat rooms…..
One of the first and easily the most successful free online dating sites ever established is plentyoffish.com The owner Markus Frind is an entrepreneur from Canada. His free online dating site boasts one of the biggest in the world with around 8 million members and 45 million visitors per month. Marcus has mainly run his free online dating service from his house on his own up until now. This will soon change with around 25 employees set to begin. Marcus is currently the largest ever single Adsense earner making an incredible 10k per day. But like any great idea, this concept has been duplicated many times and the free online chat dating industry now has just as many competitors as the paid industry.
If you have ever wondered how they can give their services away and still make a dollar, its pretty simple. These webmasters make their money from advertising. So when more members join up the greater the potential there is for them to make money.
Singles who are looking around to choose which free dating site catches their attention will notice that many of the free online dating services have all the up to date features that the paid sites have – Have you ever stopped to think why singles keep paying for dating sites? Some free dating sites provide Instant messenger, web cam chat, video feature, private chat rooms and general chat rooms. In fact you would be pushed to find a paid dating and chat service that can offer better features than many free sites offer.
These days when you hear something is free normally there is a catch involved. No, they are just that, free no catch, just register, join, browse/meet and chat to singles all for free. Whilst alot of the free online dating sites have state of the art features, and the webmasters who create them think its a good idea at the time, however there is a big over supply of free online dating services so most have a small data base. Sure its fantastic something is free but without many singles to choose from its really no help. The search engines have pages and pages of paid and free dating services but only a small number of them are successful. The race to reach the top of the search engines sees many free dating site owners fighting a losing battle.
There are certainly some great free dating and chat sites out there that do in fact have decent numbers in terms of their data base so spend an hour or two searching them out to locate one that stacks up.
Paid online dating services.
The big question is why do paid dating sites continue to see growth when there are free dating services hungry for your membership?
The free online dating method has not been around for as long as the paid method. As with many competitive industries the most successful players – like Marcus from plentyoffish have the talent to come up with new ideas to divert away from the main stream market. It boils down to first in best dressed.
The more established dating sites who were one of the first in the race seems to be where most singles eventually end up heading for, paid or free is basically irrelevant. The established dating services have massive member numbers. Many singles are searching the free dating sites and are usually disappointed with the lack of members and end up paying a subscription on one of the more well known dating sites. Subscription methods vary. Some dating sites sell monthly subscriptions and the average is around $25.00 a month. Others sell their memberships on a stamp or credit method where by you are charged each time you initiate contact with another member. The monthly payment concept works out alot cheaper so if you have no joy finding a decent free online dating site search for an established paid dating site that offers a competitive monthly rate.
Look around and you will soon find what your looking for.

Dating Fish Found in Online Sea! Singles Site Www.hookmeup.com.au Turns 1
In a candid and frank interview with site owner Matt Fuller, this inspiring success story, against all the odds can give fellow entrepreneurs and online businesses that are starting out some real encouragement.
Can you tell our readers of your experience with the internet and online dating? “Prior to starting this website one year ago, I had no knowledge or business experience with the internet, in fact I had nothing to do with the online dating industry at all”
So what inspired you to do this considering you came from a completely non related industry in the offline world. “The internet has always been of some curiosity to me. I mean, what offline business can reach millions of potential customers and can do so from just one location, I can’t think of any. So
I began to research online businesses with no real intention of the online dating industry at that time”
What was the final turning point that made you start an online dating service? “This might sound a little strange, however, I chose the singles industry because of its competitive nature, meaning that there was a great challenge to try and compete with the likes of aussiematchmaker and rsvp. I also new that if I did succeed that online dating was very lucrative and wasn’t going to become obsolete any time soon. Online dating type searches on the internet are in the top 5 searched online industries in the world and this was the determining factor as to why I decided to go this way.
After one year online, can you summarize the progress you have made. “hookmeup now gets over 30,000 page views per day and has 200 new members joining every day so there is now a huge choice of singles for my members. Just 3 months ago there was an average of 50 new members per day so you can see how fast the website is growing. In the past year I estimate that I have spent 1000 hours doing search engine optimization to increase my rankings within Google. Any Google search phrase searched from within Australia containing the words free dating, dating, chat, chat rooms, internet dating and others, the site now ranks in positions 1-10 so my site is easily found by singles looking for online dating services. Prior to the website launch I was advised by people with vast experience in this industry that to achieve these types of rankings for such competitive search keywords was not going to happen as there were literally millions of other dating type websites positioned ahead of me that I would have to compete with. So after actually achieving this in 1 year it has been a very successful venture for me considering I knew nothing when I started and it also provides a nice income. I now rank within Google alongside all the major established dating sites in Australia and are in direct competition with them”
www.hookmeup.com.au is based on a similar free online dating Canadian site, plentyoffish. Both these sites are genuinely free to join and meet other singles
and advertise Google services and other dating sites for revenue.
After some further research, it was found that the online dating industry is actually extremely competitive and there are millions of dating websites that have not been able to achieve decent search engine visibility and struggle to gain a large member data base.
There is much to be said about determination and self belief, just ask Matt from www.hookmeup.com.au

Online Dating – 11 Reasons to Go Online for Love
Where do you go when you are looking for love?
Are you considering joining an online dating site but not sure it’s for you?
Let me tell you how I first discovered online dating and why I firmly believe it fits in with our modern day lifestyles.
A couple of years ago online dating still had a stigma attached to it. Although people were using the internet as a method of dating, they did not discuss it with friends or colleagues for fear of coming across desperate.
I recall a friend of mine who was initially embarrassed to tell me she had joined an online dating site. At the time, I was rather surprised as she was an attractive girl who would be considered quite a catch. However, after chatting to her I completely understood why she had resorted to this method of dating; she was simply tired of meeting timewasters who were not interested in committing to a relationship.
Whilst she had no desire to date some of the men who contacted her, there were quite a few she was interested in and she began a dating spell to make any “singleton” jealous. She then struck up an online relationship with someone who lived 100 miles from her. After exchanging many emails and chatting on the telephone, she decided to meet him. Obviously, the distance didn’t make the relationship ideal but the spark was there and she enjoyed 6 months dating someone with similar interests, shared romantic weekends together and had a fantastic holiday. Although he didn’t turn out to be “the one”, when I asked if she regretted joining an online dating site her answer was “Definitely not!” Her view was that if she hadn’t joined an online dating site, those 6 months would have been spent moaning about meeting the same timewasters in the same old haunts and wondering “what if”. She was simply being proactive in her search for love; after all life is far too short!
If you’re not convinced online dating is for you, here are 11 reasons why I think online dating has its advantages:-
1. You don’t have to wait until the weekend to meet someone.
2. You don’t have to get dressed up for a night “online”. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in at home.
3. If you work unusual hours online dating fits in with your schedule. You can log on at any time of the day to suit you; there is always someone online waiting to chat.
4. If you start chatting to someone and then decide they are not what you are looking for, put them back in the net gently and choose another. There are plenty of fish in the sea!
5. If you are tired of seeing the same old faces when you go out, there are people of all age groups all across the country waiting online to meet someone.
6. If you are new to an area online dating is a great way of meeting people whether it’s for friendship or dating. If you meet a few people online in your area, you can arrange a get together for you all rather than meeting on a one-to-one basis.
7. If all of your friends have settled down or you have recently become single what better way to meet new someone quickly than to go online and meet more singles!
8. Anonymous messaging and chat rooms let you flirt to your heart’s content without any embarrassment or getting tongue-tied.
9. You will probably find out more about someone online before you arrange a date with them than you would if you had met them in a bar. Online dating usually makes people more cautious about who they choose to date and in this day and age that can’t be a bad thing!
10. We now live and date very differently to previous generations where the traditional place to meet people was in nightclubs, parties, at work or through friends. By joining an online dating site you are not excluding these avenues but simply extending your opportunities of meeting someone.
11. Finally, 1 month’s membership costs less than a night out and gives you hundreds of opportunities to meet your perfect partner – every night!
With so many positive reasons to go online for love, finding your perfect partner has never been easier. Try it out for yourself and please let me know how you’re doing.

Considering Trying an Online Dating Service? Singles, Chat Rooms, Dating Tips
If you have not tried online dating as yet then its not easy to know how to begin. Alot of singles we spoke to have indicated that the hardest component is write your online dating profile. Altering from the truth can be a simple option to use in your dating profile, rather than what you might determine the reader wants to read. You should try to be up front with your online dating profile in any case, the majority of other online daters who are on the internet will have particular things about themselves they also don’t like. Honesty will get you there in the end and most potential online dates will appreciate this when you see them in person. Try not to short-change yourself. Don’t lower your standards if you’re lonely, have just split up with someone or just feeling down in general. Patience, a game plan and being truthful will see you succeed when engaging online dating services.
Weigh up your past relationship. Think about what you liked and didn’t like, also stick to what you believe in. If certain issues bothered you with your previous partner eg: they smoked inside or used offensive words, don’t accept it from a new romantic interest hoping that their better features will overcome these issues that deep down really upset you.
Something thats important and quite common we think of doing while looking for potential online dates is to ask questions, but probe gently, carefully and cautiously regarding their past. What they like or don’t like, what they want out of a new romantic relationship etc. Move slowly it’s not hard to move ahead of yourself in the whirlwind of a new potential love interest, especially if your keen to progress to the next level. Also, ask to view pictures of the person in their everyday lives. Looks shouldn’t be the most important aspect, although the reality is that you want to make sure that all of the boxes are ticked to avoid disappointed when you meet face to face.
A single friend of mine met a guy once through an internet dating site – travelled three hours by bus and train. When she laid eyes her online dating friend at the destination she was shocked by the noticeable difference between his profile and real life appearance and as a result has been put off by online dating and chat rooms. The profile shots were not current and had been taken in a photography studio. The reality of the profile and real appearance were totally different. This is the most common way to fail at online dating. Even though face to face my friend was not attracted to her online dating friend, someone else probably could have been, so by not being honest in his profile both people could have been using this wasted time getting to know other people.
Many of us look different to everyone else. It will not mean that we all look gorgeous to everyone. Chemistry plays a big part, so be sure that you have this in check prior to meeting up, or at the least a foundation to work from. Don’t always meet up after your first online chat, exercise patience to avoid disappointment. Its a bonus if you both have things in common. You should try to avoid spending your time convincing a potential date that marriage and having kids is what they should be aiming for. You could both get resentful over time. So be honest from the beginning, then you can be sure to have a more successful and happier online dating and chat experience. Don’t forget one last important factor, when you’ve found the right person and you start a new romance, cancel your membership. Exchanging secret emails from other singles is no way to start a new beginning.
