There are many women who run off and get married, and suddenly their friends are left wondering what happened to them. Some literally see their friends for the last time on the day that they marry. The problem can be that some women think that once they are married, they have all that they need from their husband. Not only is this not true, it puts unnecessary stress on the husband, and then in turn, on the marriage. Women relationships with other women are important and something that everyone should have.

I went through a period of time in my life when I left women relationships behind. This was not a good time in my life, and it did put a lot of pressure on my husband to be all things to me. It was simply not possible, and it made him feel like a failure when he could not give me what I needed. I realized, after a time, that what I needed was for him to be my husband. That is a huge part of my life, but I also had to have relationships with women that I could relate with. There are things you get from your marriage, and other things you can only get from women relationships. You should have, and deserve, to have both.

Some men are good talkers, but they tackle problems differently than women. When you have something you need to talk about, your husband is always going to try to solve the problem for you. He feels the need to protect you and that is what he wants to do. That is not always helpful to you when you just need someone to listen. This is when women relationships are wonderful. They are going to listen without trying to fix it for you, and then they know you will do the same for them. Each situation is different and each will determine which you want to turn to for help.
